Adult Day Program

     Camp Gencheff's adult day program provides vocational and life skill-building to adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.  We strive to provide an atmosphere that focuses on each client's needs, encourages them to grow, and challenges them in new experiences.

     The program runs Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.  Price is based on the needs of the client. Parents/caregivers are asked to ensure an up-to-date list of medications is provided and any information regarding changes to medical conditions or any related information necessary to ensure quality care is provided.  Parents/caregivers are also asked to send a packed lunch, any communication devices used and any personal care items required during the day.

Programming

     Our adult day program takes a client-focused approach to programming that allows clients to pursue their interests while gaining valuable life skills and building independence.  Clients can have flexibility in their programming while being challenged with new opportunities and experiences.  We aim to provide programming that will help our clients create and maintain skills that will help them excel within the home and community.

     Some of the programs offered are cooking classes, gardening, life skill building, exercise and fitness classes, vocational skills, and much more.  Our adult-day program clients also have the opportunity to work with our after-school group.  Our clients utilize the after-school program as a work placement that gives them the ability to prepare snacks and activities for the children.  Through this placement, clients in both programs can form meaningful relationships and are able to utilize this opportunity to become leaders and form valuable life skills.

Payment

     Payment for our programs can be made through AccessAbility Supports or can be given through cash, e-transfer or cheque.
